Ronald C. Whetsell

He was born February 9, 1946 in Brownsville, a son of the late Paul C. and Evelyn Christy Whetsell.

Mr. Whetsell had served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and also in the US Army Reserves.

He was a retired coal miner, having worked at Vest #4, #5 and Bailey Coal Mines.

Mr. Whetsell was a member of the American Legion Hanson-Cole Post #391, Fredericktown.

He enjoyed squirrel and deer hunting; socializing with family and friends, golfing, gardening, canning, baking, and listening to music and dancing.

Surviving is his loving friend and companion, Glenda Sethman; his son and daughter-in-law, Scott Eric Whetsell and his wife Kimberly of Cranberry Township; a grandson, Judah Whetsell; two brothers, Kenneth Whetsell of Hilliard, OH and Ed Dale Whetsell of Ohio; a sister, Patricia Wilson of Clarksville.

Deceased is a brother, Dennis Whetsell.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Friday, in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Carl Leipold officiating.
