He was born November 5, 1947 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Homer and Sarah Johnson Watters, who lived in Jefferson, where he attended high school.
Ron first worked at Fisher Body in Cleveland, OH, where he met his sweetheart, Drema. He then returned to Greene County where he worked as a coal miner for 15 years at Bethlehem Steel and then decided to open his own business. With his wife he owned and operated Watters Pools and R & D Watters Septic Service.
Ron was a quiet man who enjoyed working, spending time with his family and friends, caring for his animals, and spending time at his farm.
He attended Rolling Meadows Church of God.
On June 22, 1968 he married Drema Marie Clendenin, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, D. Ronnette Watters-Benamati (Tim Lemley) of Waynesburg, and Amanda Lynn Watters-Bibovic and her husband Frank of Jefferson, NJ; three grandchildren, Sydney Hare, Dominic Benamati, and Arian Bibovic.
Deceased is a daughter, Treva Diane Watters and a sister, Suzanne Watters Deter.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 pm on Monday, and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 12 Noon with Rev. Richard D. Berkey and Fr. J. Francis Frazer officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson. Family and friends will also be welcomed to attend a luncheon, following the committal service on Wednesday at the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company at approximately 1:30 p.m. Condolences may be expressed online at www.behm-funeralhomes.com.
