Even though Hazel’s service wasn’t what was originally planned and put together in a hurry because of Covid regulations it was still very, very nice. The readings by each of the grandchildren and the songs performed made the service very special and personal. The Minister did a wonderful job as well as the funeral home. The food was delicious and plentiful. It was a very nice celebration of a wonderful woman’s life 💕

My memory of Hazel is her cooking me venison and serving me iced tea in a jar.
Coming from England she always made me feel part of the family and i used to love sitting on her porch watching the birds. She had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh.
We will miss you and you will be in our thoughts always ❤️❤️

Mom, you are the strongest lady I will ever know.  You have taught me so many things as mothers do. However, there is one lesson that  I seem to remember often. And that is how to improvise. I have watched you plant flowers in containers that were never made for flower pots  of course they were always gorgeous. I remember you were mashing potatoes when your mixer quit working you went and got dad's drill inserted a beater and continued making the biggest bowl of mashed potatoes ever.  I recall you were preparing for Thanksgiving and you were looking for string to tie up those turkey legs and no string to be found you just opened the drawer and got an old dish towel and ripped the salvage edge off and dad  held it while you tied up that turkey.  And I can't leave out how the belt on that old station wagon squealed and you grabbed a bar of soap and gave it a good rub down  and that was that.  Mom you were dad's other half. When our family was faced with dad having Hunningtons Disease again you knew your life would require  a change . This meant that you had to get a driver's  license and a job outside the home and at the same time be dad's caregiver . You never once said, "why me"?  Instead your famous words were "you just have to do what ya gotta do" I know your the kind of woman I want to be.  Forever in my heart , Love you , Loretta

Every time I look at this picture of Hazel I get teary eyed. I knew her 48 years and I knew my own mom less than 31 years. Hazel was worshipped by all her children and I believe each and every one of them had something enstilled in them by her and their father that will live on forever ♥️

I'm so saddened to hear of her passing.  I had the pleasure of meeting Hazel when she needed help herself.   I enjoyed seeing her & we had many good chats when I'd come & help.   I was honored to know her.   My condolences to the family.   Rest in Peace Hazel, you were very kind, & funny.  I enjoyed our time together. 

 I have a loss for words, nothing I can say will give her the just rewards she deserves, such an incredible person, Down home country folk that we all will miss, RIP my wonderful Aunt and family matriarch, Sending our love to all of the cousins who are feeling the pain of such a loss. Keep her in your hearts she will fill it with all her tenderness and help you bare the load of day to day life especially in these times of such confusion,


To Hazel’s Children, your Mom was truly a special lady, and I have so many fond memories of her kindnesses. I can certainly understand how she was the one always providing care for others- whether care was required for her husband or her children. Your sister Darlene and I became friends in grade school and stayed in touch for many years following our school days. My brother Bill and I were also friends with your brothers Danny and Glen.  The Graznak Family and the Garrison Family grew up within walking distance of their family homes and I have known of the fine Garrison Family my entire life. Hazel married into the family and I have no doubt that she brought joy and compassion to all of her family. May memories of your  fine Mom bring you comfort in the days to come. 

So many great memories were made at grandma and grandpaps  house growing up🥰🥰.I will always cherish how blessed we were to of had the times we shared with you Grandma Hazel ..please give Jordan a hug for me 🧡I love you and will always miss you 😘

 In the delayed state of times we are in, I can't help but feeling an inadequate response to our mother's passing. I know all of us ,, our hearts are in the right place and we will celebrate her life and mourn her passing & even though I know she is well on her way in the presence of her family, graced in the glory of the Lord. I still feel a void of unfinished.. I never realized until now how important closure of a funeral can be..
Our pride in our mother, the wife she was & grandmother amazes me when she was the least prideful person I ever knew .

Grandma's House...this is where so many childhood  memories where made.  She could always be heard above everyone else. Her cooking was delicious and she passed those recipes and traditions on down to the family.  She was a caretaker. There was always someone she was caring for as long as she was able to do so. Her strength was just something that is hard to even understand.  She loved to talk and tell her stories.  She loved birds...chickens in particular.  She loved Grandpap...True Love!! She had a beautiful smile! Glad to have the memories.  Love You Grandma will Miss you!

Hazel was one lady you could never forget.  I met her many years ago and was friends with several of the family. I do no know of anyone that had the strength she did. I never remember ever hearing her complain. She appeared to have a heart of gold and the strength of Goliath. Rest In Peace Hazel and give my love to the ones that went before you. Please give Darlene a hug from me!

I was just telling Loretta that I still remember the first time I ever saw Hazel. I was in the driveway and she came out on the porch when they lived on Dement Rd. She stepped out on the porch and I believe she was saying that dinner was ready and she turned and went back inside. I ate more than my share of those dinners. She was a wonderful Mother in Law ❤️
