Chris Dugan

He was born May 16, 1969 in Uniontown, a son of Sherry Jean Dugan of McClellandtown.

Mr. Dugan was a 1987 graduate of German Township High School; a 1992 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, with a BS in Elementary Education.

He worked as a Corrections Labor Foreman at the SCI Fayette and was a member of the Jefferson Baptist Church.

Chris was a WPIAL wrestling official, a wrestling coach for the Albert Gallatin School District for several years, a Scholastic Sporting Clay coach. And he was well known as a Jefferson-Morgan Girls Softball coach and the Jefferson Area Girls Softball coach.

Chris was a loving and wonderful husband, father, and son, who loved his wife, kids and mom. His passion was teaching kids and he enjoyed the outdoors and hunting.

On October 21, 1995 he married Sherry Lynn Hvizda, who survives.

Also surviving in addition to his wife and mother are two daughters, Camryn and Caitlyn both at home.

Deceased are his maternal grandparents, George and Frances Dugan, who helped raise Chris.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2015, with the Rev. John R. Dorean officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
