She was born January 31, 1959 in Cumberland, MD, a daughter of the late Charles “Tink” and Patricia Andrusky Logsdon.
Cookie was a graduate of Bethlehem-Center High School, Class of 1978. She received her Associate’s Degree in business from Penn Commercial.
She was the former Assistant Chief Clerk for the County of Greene, prior to her retirement in 2020.
Cookie was a member of the Greene Valley Church of God, Rices Landing.
She enjoyed family vacations at the beach. She especially loved watching her grandchildren learn how to swim in their pool and sharing love and laughter with her family and friends.
Together for 50 years, she married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Jim. They would have celebrated 44 years of marriage on April 19, 2024.
Left to cherish her memory, in addition to her husband, are two children, Alexis “Lexi) Popielarcheck and James W. “JW” Popielarcheck Jr., both of Jefferson. She was an adored Grammy to Abel James, Gracelyn Monroe, and Hadley Rayne, who were her world. Also surviving are two sisters, Donna (Dan) Shaneyfelt and Angela Jacobs (Linn Walker); sister-in-laws, Maryellen Popielarcheck, Karlen Bushta, Cecelia Popielarcheck, and Angela (Jeff) Bodnar; brother-in-laws, John Popielarcheck, Albert (Lucarria) Popielarcheck, and Ed (Jo) Popielarcheck; uncle William (Junior) and Aunt Pat Logsdon; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her step-mother, Donna Logsdon; brother, James Scritchfield; father and mother-in-law, Adam and Angeline Popielarcheck; brother-in-laws, Adam Popielarcheck, Les Bushta, and Louis Popielarcheck; nephew, Nathanial Jacobs; nieces, Taileen Pierce, Kristie Jacobs, and Mia Popielarcheck; uncle Jay and aunt Nancy Vuono.
The family would also like to thank OSPTA Hospice for all their support, care and kindness.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Hathaway officiating.
