Edna Charles

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel 1101 Main Street Franklin, LA. Officiant, Pastor Cheryl Matthews. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

She is survived by three sons, Joseph Charles, Jr. and Earl Charles, both of Jeanerette, Louisiana, and Bernard Charles of New Iberia, Louisiana; four daughters, Doris Sutton of Houston, Texas, Roxanne Charles of Youngsville, Louisiana, Patricia Charles of New Iberia, Louisiana, and Sarah (Bernard) Marks of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; her three brothers, James Lockett, Ellis Lockett, Jr., and Elton Lockett; and one sister, Alberta Kitchen, twenty four grandchildren, and forty five great grandchildren, along with a host of relatives and friends.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Charles; parents, Ellis Lockett and Priscilla Beals Lockett; sisters, Margie Bates, Earlene Lockett, Susan Walker. and Verce Mae Lockett; and a brother, Jessie Lockett.
