Rita Lynn Burke

Rita was born in Georgia and then made her home in Jasper for many years. She retired after 30 years of working in the Health Service Department with the Drummond Company. She enjoyed volunteering at Memorial Park School and TR Simmons School for several years, while watching her grandchildren grow. She will be remembered by her beautiful smile and her loving personality. Rita loved her husband, children and adored her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Marlin Burke; parents, James Doyle Womack and Opal Waters Womack.

She is survived by her son, David Marlin Burke (Dana); daughter, Jennifer Burke Hays (Matt); grandchildren, Drew Marlin Burke, Dylan McKinley Burke, Brynlee Alexis Burke and Danica Mae Burke; sister-in-law, Bobbie Burke Harrigton (Bobby); brother-in-law, Bob Burke; special cousins, Carol Waters, Phillip Waters, Greg Brandon, Linda Looney, Everette Womack and a host of relatives and special friends.
