Richmond Virginia Simpson Guthrie, 91, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at her home.

The family will welcome friends at the Kilgore-Green Funeral Home, Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 12 until 2 p.m. Service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel with burial at Oakhill Cemetery. Officiated by Gary Guthrie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Guthrie; parents, Granville and Julia Simpson; brother, Warren; sisters, Nadean, Jean and Jackie.

She is survived by her children, Gary Guthrie (Linda), James Guthrie (Rebecca), Vickie Peake (Howard), Betty Jones (Chuck), Cynthia “Sandy” Alexander (Darryl) and Katie Guthrie; grandchildren, Lydia Tittle (Brandon), Lauren Barker (Matt), Rhett Guthrie, Christy Kennedy (Mitch), Catie Merchant (Jayson), Zac Allison (Sarah), Josh Garrison (Kory), Brent Jones, Nikki Geotz (Bob), Mahala Owens (Chase), Silas Alexander (Aubrey) and Cody Alexander; great grandchildren, Riyah Tittle, Braxton Tittle, Holland Barker, Riley Barker, JordanKate Rodriguez (Alex), Tyson Easterwood, Eli Kennedy, Courtland Jones (Sara), Conner Jones, Grayson Goetz, Matthew Goetz, Claire Goetz and Saylah Owens; great great grandchildren, Graham Jones, Ollie Jones and soon to be born Nina Rodriguez; sisters, Merita Evans and Barbara Collins, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
