Mrs. Olean Barton

Olean Miller Barton, 93, formerly from Childersburg, Al., passed away at Ridgeview Nursing Home on Friday, July 13, 2018. Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 21, 2018, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home Chapel. Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery in Sipsey, AL. Rev. Wayne Williams will officiate. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jasper.

Olean retired from Olin Corp. (AOW) in Childersburg, AL. After retirement she was the owner of Glamor Beauty Shop in Sylacauga, AL. She later moved to Jasper to reside at the Chase Harbor Assisted Living.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Paul Barton; her parents, William and Nancy Miller; brother, Bernard Miller; sister, Dorothy Jean Miller. She is survived by her sister, Kathleen Fields and her brother James Miller(Oma), and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to be made to Aiken Grove Baptist Church in Sipsey, AL.
