Nell D Smith

Nell D. Smith, 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 10, 2019.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 15, 2019, from 12 until 1 p.m., at Kilgore Green Funeral Home in Jasper. Services will follow at 1 p.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Old Flatwoods Cemetery. Tremaine Davis will be officiating.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Odell M. Smith; Sons, Ricky T. Smith, Don E. Smith and Russell C. Smith; daughter-in- law, Wanda R. Smith; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

She was a long time member of New Zion Baptist Church in Nauvoo, AL. She spent many years there in service as Sunday school teacher and choir member.

She is survived by her sons, Michael D. Smith(Terri) of Fultondale, AL and Stephen G. Smith(Gloria) of Sugarland, TX; a sister, Vera Lowe of Pleasant Grove, AL; grandchildren, Terrell Smith (Kathy) of Atlanta, Ga, Wendy Nix (Brad) of Cordova, AL, Jennifer LeVasseur of Seattle, WA, Toby Holmes (Amy) of Gardendale, AL, Angel Smith of Trussville, AL, Josh Holmes (Lacey) of Cullman, AL and Kayla Smith of Fultondale, AL; 10 great grandchildren and two special friends, Lady McGough of Nauvoo, AL and Ruth Miller of Montgomery, AL. and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pall bearers will be Mike Smith, Toby Holmes, Josh Holmes, Cole Lawrence, Brad Nix and Brack Barnes.

Honorary pallbearer will be Steve Smith.
