Nancy was born with a compassionate spirit and a fierce determination that defined her life. She was a Jasper native, graduating from Walker High School in 1977, forming lifelong friendships that she cherished deeply. In 1996, she fulfilled her dream of becoming a registered nurse, a career where she was able to use her skills to help those around her. As a nurse manager within the UAB Health System's vascular and interventional radiology department, she was known for her exceptional skills and dedication to patient care.
A cancer survivor, Nancy was passionately involved in supporting cancer charities, advocating for cures, and aiding those undergoing treatment. Her resilience and commitment inspired many within and beyond her community.
An ardent Alabama football fan, Nancy held season tickets for nearly three decades. Her love for the game was a testament to her vibrant and enthusiastic nature. However, her greatest joy was her family, particularly her grandchildren. She treasured every moment spent with them, valuing family above all else.
Nancy's kindness, caring nature, and unwavering support for her loved ones will be remembered by all who knew her. Her tenacity in protecting and nurturing those she cared about was unmatched, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion.
She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. According to her wishes, no funeral service will be held. She wishes only that you remember her as she was and think of her fondly, and often.
**Rest in peace, Nancy. Your legacy of love and strength lives on in all who knew you.**
