Mrs. Marie Rice Bridges

Marie Rice Bridges, 83, of Jasper, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center. Family will receive friends Monday, February 25, 2019 from 6 until 8 at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2019, 2 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery. John Gates will officiate.

She resided at Pine Place Assisted Living facility where she was loved and cared for by a wonderful staff and the owner/director Marla Tyree. There she enjoyed their weekly church service and sang along with all the hymns. Prior to that she lived in the Pineywoods Community for many years. She was a wonderful homemaker, mother, and wife and loved to cook and care for her yard and flowers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pervy C. Bridges; parents, George and Elizabeth Rice; children, Rex A. Bridges and Marcy Bridges; siblings, Forest Rice, Harold Rice, Ralph Rice, and Jane Leach.

She is survived by her children, Robert Keith Bridges, Cynthia Renay Dulaney, Gary Bridges, and Jacky Bridges; grandchildren, Cameron Bridges, Keelan Banks, Kip Banks, Brittany Turner, Chloe Turner, and Carson Turner; great-grandchildren, Brodie Bridges and Sean Bridges.
