Mr. Larry Taylor Edwards

Family will be receiving friends today, September 29, 2020, from 5 until 8 p.m., at Crossroads Church of Christ.

Services will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at 11 a.m., at Crossroads Church of Christ, with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing.

Burial at Walker Memory Gardens. Kyle Gilpin will officiate.

Larry was an elder at Crossroads Church of Christ, where he helped build the first church building. He worked at U.S. Steel Oak Grove mines where he retired. He loved working in his garden, enjoyed wagon trains, and working his mules and horses. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Laura Ashley Edwards; parents, Sterling Edwards, and Flora Belle Edwards; siblings, Tom Edwards, Betty Sue Willis, Myrtle Jean Whitfield (Lacy), and Janice Edwards; in-laws, Monroe and Ella Fair Shubert; and sister-in-law, Sherry Edwards.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Bonnie Shubert Edwards; sons, Rick Edwards (Lisa Woods) and Chris Edwards (Lisa); grandchild, Matt Edwards, Ethan Edwards (Meaghan), Colt Edwards (Summer Wills), Riley Edwards and Seth Edwards; siblings, Alma Parrott, Phillip Edwards (Ruth) and Glenn Edwards; sister-in-law, Shelby Edwards, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tishomingo Wagon Train Members.
