Joseph Thomas Buzbee, 92, of Jasper, passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2019, at Walker Baptist Medical Center.
Family will be receiving friends on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, from 10 until 11 a.m., at Pisgah Baptist Church. Services will follow at 11 a.m., at Pisgah Baptist Church, with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. Burial at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. Wayne Williams will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Buzbee; parents, J.C. and Daisy Buzbee; siblings, Martha Aaron, Magdelene Handley, Estelle Partain, Roy Buzbee, and Paul Godfrey; and in-laws, Madie and Doc Fowler.
He is survived by his children, Ricky Buzbee (Sharon) and Sue Talley (Mike); grandchildren, Merideth Buzbee, Brandy Smothers (Woody), Shante’ Miller (Jon) and Brett Talley (Annie); great grandchildren, Alex Oliver, Addie Smothers, Arleigh Smothers, Cristain Leger, Jesse Miller and Charlotte Anne Talley; sister, Onzell Godfrey and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Big Oak Ranch or favorite charity.
