Jerry Christopher Maddox

A dearly loved husband, son, grandson, uncle and brother, Jerry Christopher Maddox was called to be with the Lord on August 10th, 2015. Chris was born on June 26th, 1972 in Jasper, Alabama. He graduated with honors from Walker High School. Chris developed a love for Alabama Football from an early age. Naturally, he moved to Tuscaloosa and attended The University of Alabama. He was a member of the Red Elephant Club and Tide Pride. He was a diehard fan and never missed a game. What a man, What a Fan. Chris also loved spending time at the beach with his family. Chris lived in Alabaster and was employed with AT&T.

Chris was preceded in death by his Dad, Delbert Handy Jr., Both Grandfather’s, O.H. Maddox, and O’Neil Baughn, and his Aunt, Connie Norris. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Roper Maddox, his parents Jan Handy and Jerry and Reba Maddox, sister Lindsey Handy Conner and husband Ryan Conner, niece Lucy Grace Conner, sister Maightlyn Maddox, Grandmother’s Lucy Baughn and Helen Maddox, father and mother in law Willie and Sue Roper.

A celebration of life will be held at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home Saturday, August 15, 2015 visitation 11:00 AM -2:00 P.M. and service will follow 2:00 P.M. Mike King will officiate. Interment at Walker Memory Gardens.
