James B Thompson

Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, January 25, 2020, from 1 until 2 p.m., at Jasper First Baptist Church, with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home will be directing. Service will follow at 2 p.m., at Jasper First Baptist Church, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Patrick Hannah and Charlie Nicholson will officiate.

J.B. was a long time pastor and loved serving his Lord. He served many churches over his years and was blessed and privileged to see many souls saved. He loved working with and helping people throughout his life. He will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by son, James Paul Thompson; parents, Broox and Eunice Thompson; sister, Geraldine Thompson and in-laws, Hillard and Lillian Holland.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bettie Holland Thompson, children, Pam Miller (Steve), Pat Hannah (Jim), Betty Smith Thompson; grandchildren, Bethany Johnson (Kris), Stephanie Hendon (Kyle), Patrick Hannah (Brandi), Larry Thompson (Amber), CeJe Hearn (Dexter), Buck Williams, Renee Sides (Lawrence); 15 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be All Fellow Ministers of God. Pallbearers will be Greg Barnett, Britt Barnett, Eric Barnett, Ian Tuggle, Lawrence Sides, Edward Sides, Buck Williams and Alexander Sides.
