Randy was born to Earl and Mae Randolph on November 12, 1949. He drove a school bus during the last year of high school. After graduation, he went to Bevill Technical School and studied to be an electrician. Following that he was ready to join the Navy, just as his dad did. Randy served on the “USS Plymouth Rock”, stationed out of VA.
While home on leave, he married his sweetheart Jeanne Connell on July 3, 1971. She moved back to VA and set up housekeeping. During their dating years and after, they were frequent visitors to any Dairy Queen they could locate to eat corn dogs and strawberry milk shakes.
After serving his time in the Navy, Randy and Jeanne came back home to Walker County and went to work for Alabama Power Company, again following in his dad’s footsteps.
After almost 40 years of service, Randy retired from the power company and still enjoyed staying in contact with his fellow retiree friends.
Randy was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Randolph; sons, Edmon Randolph and Chris Randolph and parents, Earl and Mae Randolph.
He is survived by his granddaughter, Paeton Rudolph; niece, Shana Turner; daughter-in-law, Christie Randolph, sister-in-law, Jan Webb (Ronnie) and a host of other relatives and many friends.
