Mr. Donald Hugh Blaylock Sr.

Family will be receiving friends on Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Service will follow at 2 p.m., with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Blaylock was a retired coal miner and a big UMWA supporter, mine safety rescue leader, a mason member for over 50 years, long time member of the rescue squad, a pilot and plane owner, scuba diver and many other adventures thru the years. He was a member of the Jasper Independent Methodist Church. He loved his Lord and his family. He loved gospel singings and was in several singing groups, and enjoyed life.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years Sadie-Ross Roberts Blaylock, mother, Mildred Blaylock, father Willie Blaylock, stepfather Billy Blaylock, brother, James Blaylock (Margie), sister, Dora-Ruth Kiker (John), and niece, Helen Blaylock Pacey.

He is survived by his daughter, Carla Blaylock Hall (Casey), sons, Donald Blaylock Jr. (Beverly), Richard Blaylock (Ginna), grandchildren, Jason Blaylock (Samantha), Parker Blaylock, Peyton Blaylock, Anna-Kathryn Gilbert, Presley Blaylock, Clayton Hall, Carson Gilbert (Kaitlyn), Austyn Hall, Mary-Elizabeth Hall and Sadie-Grace Hall, nieces and nephews, Mike Kiker (Alice), Linda Blaylock, Opal Blaylock Harrison, Brenda Hudson (James).
