Our gift giving, party planning, dog nabbing, matter of fact, horse loving, stubborn, tenacious, hoarding Ol’ Deb took her last breath on July 31, 2021 while surrounded by her family.
Debbie, lovingly known as Ol’ Deb, was nothing short of amazing. She was a hard worker with a fierce work ethic who had a wide range of accomplishments from being a published author, a horse trainer and having a successful nursing career. Ol’ Deb was one of a kind who never met a stranger. Her door was always open, whether that be to the stray dog she picked up on the side of the road or one of the countless kids that happened to wander into her home and heart and to whom she quickly became a second mother. She boldly and fiercely loved her family, her husband Buddy, and was incredibly proud of her grandchildren, who adored her.
Ol’ Deb, Debbie, or Mom, whatever you prefer to call her, leaves behind a void in our hearts that will never be able to be filled. There will never be another one like her. If you were fortunate enough to have known her, that’s something you already knew. We love you again today.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hayden and Evelyn Nunnelley; brother, Max Nunnelley.
She is survived by her husband Albert “Buddy” Swindle; children, Casey Gallas (Brian), Maegan Viger (Josh) and Austin Sullivan (Karah); grandchildren, Wyatt Gallas, Lila Gallas, Vada Gallas, Eli Viger, Isaac Viger, Evelyn Sullivan and Selah Viger; brother, Dennis Nunnelley; nephew, Warren Nunnelley (Stephanie); great niece, Evangeline Nunnelley; in-laws, Joe and Barbara Williams and a host of friends.
