Charles Woodrow Sherer, 87, of Jasper, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Shadescrest Health Care Visitation will be held today, May 3, 2016, from 10 until 11 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be today, May 3, 2016, at 11 a.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Stan Prewett will officiate. Sherer was preceded in death by his parents, Clint Sherer and Jessie Miller Sherer; brothers, Howard Sherer, Clinton Sherer and Fred Sherer; and sister, Jessie Mae Abbott. He is survived by his brother, Alfred “Cowboy” Sherer; sister, Elsie Sherer Hulsey; special friends, staff of Shadescrest Health Care and New Beacon Hospice; and a host of nieces and nephews.
