John "Jake" Paul Harris IV

Mr. Harris was born in Harrisburg, PA on June 28, 1995 to John Paul Harris III and Kimberly Denise Harris. He joined the Marine Corps in 2013 where he met the love of his life, Aminah Everette, and they were married on September 4, 2016. Jake was a very caring, fun loving, and courageous man who constantly placed others before himself and valued above all else his family, friends, and country.

Mr. Harris is survived by his loving wife, Aminah Everette; his father, John P. Harris III; his mother, Kimberly D. Harris and her husband, Bill Eisenhauer; his sister, Ashley Carpenter and her husband, Brett, and niece, Savannah; grandparents, John and Eileen Borkenhagen; uncles, Scott Borkenhagen and wife, Tracy, and Ed Borkenhagen and wife, Christina; and cousins, Aiden, Parker, and Chloe.

Mr. Harris is preceded in death by his grandparents, John Harris Jr. and Nola Harris.

Mr. Harris also leaves behind countless friends and fellow Marines who have been inspired by his loyalty and infected with his laughter and happiness.

Memorial services with Military Honors will be held at Johnson Funeral Home in Jacksonville, NC on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 2:00 pm with burial to follow at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
