Hazel King Smith

A funeral service will be held at 7:30pm,Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home, Jacksonville with Rev. Mike Jarman officiating.

She was a member of Whaley’s Chapel Original FWB Church, and during her years as a school dietician manager, she won several food competitions.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Garland B. Thomas and Jack W. Smith, brother, Arthur King, and sisters, Dorothy Hobbs and Virginia King.

She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Thomas Taylor and husband Ronnie L. Taylor of Richlands. Step daughter, Janet Taylor and husband Greg Taylor of Pink Hill. Step sons, Jeff Smith and wife Beverly Smith and Danny Smith and wife Shirley Smith all of Jacksonville. Brother, Billy King of Mooresville, NC. Sisters, Carrie Carr and Annette Minshew both of Richlands. Grandchildren, Wendy Taylor Philyaw and husband Tony Philyaw, and Ronda Taylor Moody and husband Kevin Moody. Great Grandchildren, Hannah Marie Moody, Harlee Taylor Moody, and Jeremiah Thomas Moody.

The family will receive friends Thursday, one hour prior to the service, 6:30pm-7:30pm, at the funeral home.
