On the morning of December 22, 2017, HM2 (FMF) Brandon "Doc" Ward, 30, passed away at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, NC.
Ward, a Hospital Corpsman and combat veteran of the United States Navy was surrounded by a cadre of family and friends as he transcended this realm to enter the feasting halls of Valhalla.
Brandon was a man of volume, of whom volumes could be written of. He was a loving husband to the point of a virtue, and a dutiful friend to the point of fault. He found enjoyment in simple things: good food, good drink, and better company. Brandon had many interests, some of which were technology, philosophy, and spelunking with his nerdy friends through imaginary caves. There was nothing he did without passion. But even in his vivacity there was a thoughtful conscientiousness that endeared him to many. It was the Roman statesman Seneca who said, “The comfort of having a friend may be taken away, but not that of having had one.”
Brandon is survived by his wife, Natasha, and their two purrbabies Neko and VooDoo.
