Yvonne Sapp Nisbet peacefully went home to be with Lord November 4, 2013 after her courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 24, 1937 in Nashville, Georgia, but resided in Jacksonville, FL for most of her life. After serving twenty-five years with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office she retired. Yvonne enjoyed traveling to the Smokey Mountains, cooking, and listening to classical country music. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas “Tommy” Nisbet. Survivors include three sons Milton Bordeaux (Bonnie), David NIsbet (Cathy), and Gary Nisbet (Donna); one grandson Brandon Nisbet; two granddaughters Bunny Bates (Michael) and Nicole Padilla (Raul); three great grandchildren Brantley Nisbet, Layacia and Leskai Padilla. The family would like to express a special thanks to the Hospice Nurses, caregivers and to a dear niece Dana Boyett for their wonderful help. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the funeral home with Brother Tom Collier officiating. Interment will follow the services at Riverside Memorial Park.
