William Henry O'Neil Jr.

In 1959, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Boatswain’s Mate onboard the USS SARATOGA (CVA-60) until December 1963. He then met his wife and married her July 11th, 1964. He enjoyed racing cars, fixing and building anything, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

He was predeceased by his wife Brenda Ann O’Neil, his parents William O’Neil Sr and Eunice O’Neil, his brothers Edward O’Neil and John O’Neil, his sisters Marilyn Hudman, Lorraine Jones and Darlene Barr.

He is survived by his daughter, Helen Curry (Michael), his son William O’Neil III, granddaughter Madilyn Curry, his sister Celia O’Neil, his brother Eugene O’Neil and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation for Bill with family and friends will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A celebration of life graveside service for both Bill and Brenda will be at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on Thursday February 24, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218. A reception will follow at their daughter’s residence.
