Bill received his Bachelor’s degree from Alderson Braoddus college, where he was awarded a scholarship for track and field and played basketball throughout. Maintaining a single digit handicap, Bill had a lifelong love of golf, and enjoyed sharing the game with his family and friends.
An entrepreneur and savvy businessman, Bill successfully started and ran his own companies with his wife Stevie. He was a visionary and saw a niche where shopping online was the way of the future and set forth to make this happen years before online shopping was the norm. He was surrounded by loyal and trusted colleagues who have worked with him for over twenty years, Tammy George and Richard Markette.
A lifelong member of the Jacksonville Jewish Center, Bill was part of a havurah and shabbat dinner group for decades. He traveled with his family and friends to Isreal for his son’s bar-mitzvah and participated in many family travels and community adventures. Bill was generous beyond measure, always giving to those in need and creating ways to contribute to various causes through his philanthropic endeavors.
The family plans to hold a celebration of life in the future, as COVID conditions allow for such a gathering.
