William (Bill) M. Dismuke, 74, passed away peacefully at Community Hospice-Baptist South on December 11, 2020, from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Bill was born in Cuthbert, GA on October 30, 1946 to Melvin & Ruby Dismuke. He graduated from Albany, GA High School and from Georgia Southwestern College in Americus, GA, where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He served in the US Army, completing a tour of duty in Vietnam. Bill retired from Deluxe Check Printers, where he worked as a Department Manager. Bill is survived by his wife of 44 years, Nancy, and their children, Michael (and wife Jill) of San Diego, CA, and Anna (and husband Ross Allen) of Richmond, VA.
Bill was a long time member of Mandarin Presbyterian Church, where he served as a Deacon, Elder, and Trustee, in addition to many other volunteer activities. For many years, he also served in leadership roles with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. The family wishes to thank our many friends who have been a special part of our lives for so many years. We also appreciate the healthcare provided to Bill at Baptist South and Baptist South Community Hospice.
Bill’s family celebrated his life with a graveside service. Gifts in memory of Bill can be made to Mandarin Presbyterian Church, Seamark Ranch, Community Hospice or the charity of your choice.
