Vince attended high school in Gainesville, Florida and Pueblo, Colorado. Prior to his illness, he was with Newsom Fence, Jacksonville, Florida for over 20 years. He loved his work and all of his co-workers. He loved football and was a dedicated fan of the Florida Gators. He also loved his music. His favorite was Motley Crue; he would see them in concert whenever he could. He also loved the local venues for live music and had many friends within the music world.
Vince is predeceased by his father, Allen Nash, Baxley, GA; his sister, Susan Ladean Nash, Baxley, GA; his brother, Jeffrey Nash, Jacksonville, FL; and his mother, Sue Ryals, Callahan, FL.
Vince leaves behind a his wife of 26 years, Christine Solomon; his step-children Stephenie Christine Walker, Steven Lee Blevins, James Paul Blevins and; six grandchildren Casey Michael Walker, Rebekah Walker Beaushaw, Kristopher Robert Blevins, Connor Blevins, Kayla Michell Blevins, and Wesley Caldwell Blevins. He also leaves behind his aunt Ann Collins of Jacksonville and many cousins in Gainesville, Florida.
The family extends our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Baptist Downtown Community Hospice as well as the in-home nursing and doctor’s staff for the compassionate care and love they gave to Vince and our family. Christine, Vincent’s wife, would also like to express her many thanks to Global Publishing, her employer, for their kindness and support as well as Vincent’s employer, Newsom Fence.
A celebration of life will be held at Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32207 on Saturday November 5th, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior beginning at 10:00 a.m. Chaplain Brent Beaird will serve as officiant.
