

A WWII veteran, Mr. Miller served as a tank crewman in the Seventh Armored Division during the Battle of the Bulge and the European Campaign through V-E Day. He was discharged in November, 1945 with a Purple Heart, three bronze service stars, and a little bit of shrapnel in his shoulder.
An active churchman all his life, he was a longtime member of First Christian Church in Youngstown Ohio, then of Disciples Christian Church in Boardman Ohio, and recently of First Christian Church in Mandarin. He spent most of his life in Boardman, Ohio working as a driver-salesman for Keystone Bakery and, after retirement, as a school bus driver. He was an avid golfer, bowler, gardener, and ballroom dancer.
Preceded in death by his wife, Veronica Miller, infant daughter, Annette and daughter Marilyn Miller Mosier, he is survived by his son, Douglas E. Miller (Eleanor); sister, Lucile Slade McAuley; three grandchildren, Nathaniel Miller (Carolyn Aibel), Lauren Miller (Kevin Leeser) and Zachary Miller; 2 great grandchildren, Alexa Miller and Evelyn Leeser; many other family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Sunday, April 1st at First Christian Church, 11924 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223 with Rev. Jeffrey L. Smith as Officiant. Family and friends are invited to come together at the church for remembrance and reflection starting at 6:00 pm.
Mr. Miller will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Boardman, OH.
