Vera was born on June 4, 1926 in Alton, Illinois to Everett and Rena Watson. She spent many years as an office manager at Dale Carnegie and was a valued member of the fraud department at Barnett Bank, all while being a devoted mother and grandmother. Vera was a skilled seamstress who designed most of her children’s clothes. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cooking for those she loved.
She is survived by three children, her daughter, Patricia St. Peter, and her two sons, Perry and Frank Castelvecchi. She will also be missed by 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Vera will be fondly remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who had a passion for living each day to the fullest.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at graveside at Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32207.
