He worked as a millwright in Fernandina Beach and Palatka. He was active in his Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents Velma Tyre and Alvin Pope; and his brother Mavern Griffin.
He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Walker and Christina Pope of Middleburg FL; his grandson Tristan Walden; his sister Evelyn Crews, and his best friend and companion, Kristen Adams.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Hardage Giddens Riverside Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville FL, with the Reverend Ron Beasley officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 9am – 9:45am. The funeral will begin at 10am; the interment will be afterward at 11am.
A luncheon will immediately follow the interment at Rolling Hill Baptist Church, 840 Permento Ave, Jacksonville, FL.
