BRISBANE- Varley Rose Brisbane, 81, passed away after a three year courageous battle with lung cancer on Monday, July 18, 2011. The Jacksonville native was born October 29. 1929 to the late, Lubert Sturdivant and Stella Kitts. She retired in 1991 from Aero Space Industry. She is survived by her daughter, Varley Blanton (Leroy); her brother, L. E. Sturdivant; ; granddaughter, Lanie Randl (Ron); great grandson Nichalous Randl; a multitude of cats and a host of friends and neighbors. Special thanks to the McGraw Center for and Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, especially Dr. Luis Garcia-Rivera and his compassionate staff. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday, July 22nd in the chapel of COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 940 Cesery Blvd. with Rev. Fred Norman, officiating. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
