Tracy Draden Pigg died July after a short illness. He was 85 years old. Tracy was born in Lena, Mississippi the youngest son of George and Dolly Pigg and brother to Raylon Pigg (deceased), Ivadine Pigg Waggoner(deceased), Bryce Pigg (deceased), Clatine Pigg Howell and Arlan Pigg.
Tracy married Norma Jean Prouty Pigg and they enjoyed fifty years together. After her death God brought Sarah McClure Pigg to be his wife. They were happily married until her death in February 2014.
Tracy loved his work beginning as a pressman and then in printing ink production. He was a man of integrity and dignity.
Tracy’s commitment as a follower of Jesus Christ was evident in every aspect of his life. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Jacksonville Florida and served in many capacities from nursery to Deacon.
He loved automobiles and could describe all the cars he had ever owned.
Tracy is survived by his son, Rev. Douglas Pigg and wife, Renee, his daughter, Jennifer Pigg Carroll and her husband Tim Carroll, his daughter in law, Patricia Makepeace and her husband Scott Makepeace. Grandchildren include: Allison Carroll Falcione, Jonathan Pigg, Brittany Carroll Zellhoefer, David Pigg, Timothy Pigg, and Morganne Carroll. He has eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at First Baptist Church, 124 West Ashley Street Jacksonville, Florida 32202 from 12:00 noon to 12:45 P.M.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014, at First Baptist Church, 124 West Ashley Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32202 at 1:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations by made to Elizabeth Project International, www.elizabethproject.net or to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
