Tony Rogers was born in Tupelo Mississippi on January 4, 1936 and passed away December 5, 2014 in Jacksonville, Fl. He has resided in Jacksonville since 1953 and owned and operated Jacksonville Decking until 2004 when he retired. He was very active as a Mason for many years and was a member of the Morocco Shrine Temple. He Served as the Past President of Hot Sparks and was a member of Jesters. Tony loved Nascar, the Gators, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was an amazing person and a man of many ventures. Tony fell in love with Kathy and was married 53 years. They shared many interests and loved traveling together. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Kathy, his parents Glen and Birdie Rogers, brother Reggie Rogers. He leaves behind a daughter Kelly Raulerson (Ronnie); son Anthony Rogers (Sherrie); brother Roy Rogers; sisters Kathy Rogers and Donna Kay Strayer; Grandchildren Jill Carter (Carey), Chris Rogers, Kayla Raulerson, and Katelyn Raulerson; two great grandchildren; a special friend Jane Cribb; as well as a large extended family, friends , and relatives. A Visitation will be held 10 – 11:00 am Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 7673 Collins Road, Jacksonville FL 32244. Funeral services will follow visitation at 11:00 am at the church with Brother Rick Baldwin officiating. Masonic Rites will be held 2:00 pm at graveside at Riverside Memorial Park.
