Thelma Burke Shirley

Thelma B. Shirley, 89 went home to be with the Lord on July 14, 2017 at home. She was born in Baxley, GA. and was a long time resident of Jacksonville, Fl. Mrs. Shirley was a hairdresser for many years and a full time wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was predeceased in death by her husband; Thomas D. Shirley, and her son, Davis (Bubba). Survivors include Virgil Shirley, Kay Johnson (Gary), Susie Turner (Jim), Mike Shirley (Charlene), Rick Shirley (Tina) with many grandchildren, greats and great-greats, and lots of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Old Plank Road Baptist Church, followed by interment at Riverside Memorial Park at 1:30pm.
