Thelma Lucille Land

Thelma "Lucy" Land, 86, passed away July 23, 2015. She was born in Cragford, Alabama to William Sanford Caldwell and Gladys Joiner Caldwell. Lucy was a homemaker and then worked in retail at Belk's. Lee and Lucy moved to Jacksonville in 1950. Lucy loved the Lord and her family. Recently, Lucy was an active member at the Riverside Presbyterian house. She was also a devoted member of Ortega Baptist Church for over 35 years. Lucy was preceded in death by her husband Lee and son Terry. Brothers Britton and Whitten Caldwell and sisters Roma Troxel and Jean Blair. Survived by her son Tony (Tanya)Land; grandson, Jason (Tyler) Land; Granddaughter, Tracy (Chris) Davis; and great-grandson Ryan Davis. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Baptist Children's Home. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a visitation on Sunday, July 26 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted Monday, July 27 at 10:00 at First Baptist Church - Ortega Campus with the interment following at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park.
