Teresita Manalo Manuel

Born on August 7, 1944 in Bacoor Cavite, Philippines she was the daughter of Theodora and Bienvenido Manalo. She graduated Rosario Institute High School in 1960 in Bacoor Cavite, Philippines. She married Rodolfo Reyes Manuel on October 4, 1964 and delivered her first child Rosalie Manuel in 1966. In 1971 she moved to the United State in San Diego, California where she delivered twin boys, Randy Manuel and Ricky Manuel. Later that year, Rudy and Tessie moved to Beeville, Texas. In 1974 they moved to Jacksonville, FL where she and Rudy lived most of their lives.

Tessie was a faithful servant to the Lord where she attended the River of Life Full Gospel Fellowship. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunty, and friend. Her heartfelt kindness and her quirky sense of humor that can make the room belt out in laughter is what everyone will remember her. She loved music especially Elvis Presley, Englebert Humperdinck, and Tom Jones. Her passion for music inspired her to even learn the piano. She also loved to travel with Rudy especially during the fall season around the Smokey Mountains and Blue Ridge Mountains. One of her favorite destinations was Maui, Hawaii. But her most precious moments she will always remember is spending time and spoiling her grandkids. Her grandkids knew she loved music and on the last day they played and sang her favorite songs.

Tessie is survived by her husband Rodolfo (Rudy) Manuel, her children Rosalie Manalo Young, Randy Manalo Manuel, Ricky Manalo Manuel, son-in-law Anthony Young, daughter-in-law Kim Manuel, daughter-in-law Michelle Manuel, her seven grandchildren, Taryn Young, Caleb Young (Lynn), Brianna Young, Christian Manuel, Morgan Manuel, Taylor Manuel, and Jonathan Manuel

Tessie's memory will forever be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of her loved ones. She was a good friend to all of her friends. Though she has now joined her parents in eternal peace, her love and spirit will continue to guide and uplift us.

A visitation for Teresita will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her memory on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM at River of Life Full Gospel Church, 2848 St. John's Bluff Road South, Jacksonville, FL 32246. A committal service will follow the Church ceremony at 12:30 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
