A great lady made her journey to heaven on the 19th of February, 2013. Known as Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Business Woman, Exceptional Hostess, and Fantastic Cook. Tena Napoli DeSalvo was born on March 20th, 1924 in Jacksonville where she remained a life long resident. Tena was a respected business owner of Mary Ann's Golden Fried Chicken franchise for thirty-four years as well as owner to numerous other small businesses where she was always fondly known as Miss. Tena. For fifty-five years she was a beloved wife to the late Vincent Frances DeSalvo Sr. who was the love of her life and business partner. Tena was a devoted mother to the late Frank DeSalvo and is survived by Vincent DeSalvo Jr.- Mary, Tena Ferger - Kenneth, Dana Perrone - Anthony, and Step-Mother to Joseph DeSalvo - Betty. To her grandchildren she was simply known as Nana beloved by Frances Perrone Gorab - Jonathan, Tena Perrone, Louis Perrone, Angela Cothran - Josh, Tena Ajlouny - Naseem, John S. DeSalvo, Francesca Ferger, and Dana Marie Ferger. She was great grandmother to EJ Fernandez, Sara Cothran, Marisa Ajlouny, Allison Cothran, Becca Ajlouny, and Alessandria Gorab. The Rosary service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday, February 22, 2013 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Riverside on Park Street. The Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Ocean Street. Entombment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
