Susan graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended Lees-McRae College in North Carolina. She and Wesley Farmer were married on May 23, 1973. She worked for CSX railroad for over 30 years. Susan loved shopping, her grandchildren, visiting with friends and family, laughing and a good Margarita . . . or two. She attended St. Johns Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by son, Robert Wesley Farmer of Ohio; grandson, Russell W. Farmer of Ohio; granddaughter, Marie N. Farmer of Jacksonville; brother, Wayne D. Tison (Wanda) of Jacksonville; sister, Mary R. Williams (Tom) of Jacksonville; and many more friends and family that love her.
Preceded in death by father, Edwin S. Tison; mother, Eleanor M. Stanford; husband, Wesley Farmer; brothers, Arthur Tison and Thomas Tison.
A visitation for Susan will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 9:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Followed by a funeral at 10:00 AM. A committal will occur Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
