Steven Gerard Ressel

RESSEL- Steven (Steve) G. Ressel, age 45 of Jacksonville entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 7, 2016. Steve, a Jacksonville native, who graduated from Terry Parker High School and the University of North Florida, Summa Cum Laude. He had a career in the mortgage business at Chase. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was a true Gator fan and loved to watch Gator football with his boys. His greatest joys in life were his two sons. He enjoyed traveling with them, watching them play sports but mostly being their Dad. Anyone that knew him loved him. He was a great guy and amazing father who always looked at everything on the positive side. He is survived by his fiancé Michele Walker and his two adoring sons Noah and Zachary, his father and mother, Paul and Pat Ressel, sisters; Susie Ward, Paula (Charlie) Brune, Ellen Ressel and Theresa (Clint) Howell, nephews Adam, Joseph, Matthew, Jacob and Eli and many aunts and uncles. He is lovingly remembered by his extended family Russell (Heather) Walker, Ryan (Kristina) Barnes, Tiffany Hall and grandchildren (Brandon, Anthony, Adriana, Ashton, Kian, Audrina and baby Zayn) and many friends and loved ones. The family welcomes visitors on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM in Hardage- Giddens Funeral Home 11801 San Jose Blvd Jacksonville, Florida 32223. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 11730 Old St Augustine Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32258. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery with a Luncheon immediately following.
