Steven James McCann

Steve attended Paxon High School; served his country in the U.S. Army, 3rd Armor Division in Augsburg, Germany; graduated from Jones College with a Bachelor's Degree in Management; and retired from CSX Transportation.

Steve was preceded in death by his brother, Evans McCann. He is survived by his wife, Norma; son, Jason McCann (Andria); three grandchildren: Liam, Alden and Adalyn McCann; Norma’s son, Kelly Jones (Tabitha) and his daughter, Reagan Jones; brother, Donald McCann (Mary Helen); sister-in-law, Lynn McCann (Evans); nieces, Jenny Russell and Holly Jones; nephew, Ryan McCann; aunts, Jeanette Carwile of Boone, NC and Sarah Knight of Winter Haven, FL; and several cousins to mourn his passing. Steve is also survived by many loving friends and neighbors, including close friends, John and Pat Wheeler and Ted and Janice Harris. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Steve’s honor to the Northeast Florida Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257.

The committal service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 29, 2019 in Jacksonville National Cemetery 4083 Lannie Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32218.
