Stephanie Lynn Williams

On Tuesday July 5, 2022, Stephanie Lynn Williams, A 26 year resident of The Deercreek Country Club Jacksonville, FL, who was born in Kansas City, MO on September 21, 1940, peacefully left her earthy body and transitioned on to Heaven into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Stephanie left behind her husband of 60 years, Joseph Wesley Williams and two grown children, Curtis Scott Williams of Valdosta, GA and Amy Jo Allman who lives with her husband Eric Blaine Allman in Ocoee, FL as well as one grandchild, Chase Lee Allman who is an Industrial Engineering Student at the University of Central Florida. In addition, she leaves one sister Marilyn Hays who lives in Sun City West, AZ with her husband. Stephanie was pre-deceased in death by her Mother and Father, Bette Fields Davis and Claude James Davis of Kansas City, MO

Stephanie studied for 2 years at the University of Central Missouri where she met her future husband. They were married in 1962, two years following Joe’s graduation from the University of Central Missouri in 1960 and while Stephanie was working at the Western Electric Company as a Secretary. Later while Joe was transferred in various Management positions within a 30 year career with The Quaker Oats Company, Stephanie worked in Real Estate for a new home builder in the western suburbs of Chicago IL, and then after a move to the Dallas TX, she worked as a Department Manager for the Lord and Taylor Company. After retirement and a move to Jacksonville, she devoted a great deal of her time in organizing and running several Ladies Bridge Clubs which was her passion. In addition she took up the game of Golf and served as the unofficial photographer for the Deercreek Ladies Golf Association. She was also a member of the Deercreek Garden Club and the Deercreek Ladies Alliance.

Stephanie will be missed by all her wonderful friends and acquaintances. In lieu of flowers please donate in Stephanie’s name to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America to help find a cure for this disease.

A visitation for Stephanie will be held Sunday, July 10, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223, followed by a memorial service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
