ATWELL - Mrs. Shirley Ann Atwell, 79, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015. Mrs. Atwell was retired from J.E.A. and was Past Worthy Matron, Riverview Chapter 265 O.E.S. She was predeceased by her daughter, Ann Williams Davis and a son, Ricky T. Atwell. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Wilmer Atwell; 2 sons, Mitchell Atwell (Sherri) and Tony Atwell (Tara); 8 grandchildren: Michelle Clements, Robert Williams, Mitchell Atwell, Jr., Dustin Davis, Cody Davis, Ian Atwell, Taylor Atwell & Brandon Atwell; 5 great grandchildren: Haley, Kendra, Maddox, Mallory & Morgan; and 2 best friends, Gail and beloved min-pin, Precious.
Mrs. Atwell was a member of Highlands Baptist Church where funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 19, with Pastor Art Taylor and Chaplain Sam Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 18 at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Ave.
