Sherry was born on May 14, 1956, to Robert and Marie Collie in Birmingham, AL. After Sherry graduated from Oak Ridge High School (Orlando, FL) in 1974, she went on to study Speech Pathology at the University of Florida, graduating with Honors. Sherry continued her education and received a Masters of Speech Pathology at Auburn University.
In 1975 Sherry Collie met Brian Frazier at the University of Florida. Sherry and Brian married in 1981 and went on to have three children, Jordan, Brandon, and Kelli. She recently retired from the Duval County School System where she provided speech and language therapy to Special Needs children. She was also actively involved in the church teaching Sunday School to young children.
She is survived by her husband Brian, her children and their spouses: Jordan and Brian Magiera, Brandon and Gina Frazier, Kelli and Evan Husk, her parents: Robert and Marie Collie, her siblings: Kaye Collie, Robert Collie Jr., and Donna Collie, and her five grandchildren: Caleb Magiera, Jason Magiera, Michael Magiera, Lexi Husk, and Remi Husk.
Sherry was a caring, generous, intelligent person, a devoted and loving wife, an extraordinary mother, and a loyal friend. As a follower of Jesus Christ, Sherry was a faithful witness to others, a woman of character and integrity, and a role model for young women. Her beautiful smile, engaging personality, and welcoming spirit will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
