Sharon was a core member of the L’Arche Harbor House Community in Jacksonville for 27 years. She had a lifelong love of taking care of others through volunteer work or others within her community.
Sharon enjoyed telling stories to anyone who would listen. At a very early age her father taught her how to speak like Donald Duck. This quickly became her trade mark through-out her life as she entertained others often using her Donald Duck voice. Children were delighted to hear her speak using this wonderful gift.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Vera Starling, her brother Roger James, her paternal and maternal grandparents.
She is survived by her step mom Ida Starling, her siblings David Michael (Ruby), Robin Veronica and Robert John (Caroline), Gerald Payton (Cloette) and her Aunt Kitten (Dolores Faye), 13 Nieces and Nephews, 5 Great Nieces and Nephews.
On Friday April 17 rosary will be held starting at 6:00 pm followed by a viewing from 7:00 to 8:00 at L’Arche Harbor House Community Center 700 Arlington Rd N. Jacksonville, FL 32211.
Funeral mass will be held on Saturday April 18 at 11:00 am, at Christ the King Catholic Church 742 Arlington Rd. North, Jax 32211, FL, followed by grave side service at Riverside Memorial Park.
