Sharon L. Hays, age 78, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on July 31, 2023. She was born in Roanoke, VA on January 12, 1945 to Basil Martin and Dorothy Oliver Martin. She married Joseph Hays on December 24, 1987.
Sharon worked at Baptist Medical Center as Unit Manager in Staffing and Payroll. She loved mother/daughter days with Debora, lunches with son Jerry, and visits from her youngest, Joshua when he was home on leave. Her grandchildren and dogs were her world and most of all, she loved Jesus.
She is survived by her husband of almost 36 years, Joseph Hays; daughter, Debra Martinez; sons Jerry L. Linkenhoker and Joshua A. Hays; brothers, Randy Martin and Mark Martin; 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by parents, Basil Martin and Dorothy Martin and brother, Tommy Martin.
A graveside service for Sharon will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
