Mr. Patton was born on August 19, 1976 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey to Debra and Gordon Patton, and shortly after birth his family moved to Conyers, GA. Following high school, he enlisted in the US Navy in 1995 as a Mess Management Specialist. While in the Navy, he earned the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, 2 Navy “E” Ribbons, Second Navy Good Conduct Medal, 2 National Defense Service Medals, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and a Pistol Shot Ribbon (Sharpshooter). He was honorably discharged in October of 2002. Following his Navy career, Mr. Patton moved to Jacksonville, Florida where he continued his commitment to public service with an 18-year career in law enforcement with the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, rising to the rank of Lieutenant. He and his family attend the Church of Eleven22.
His family paid tribute to him, “He was a kind and generous soul. Always willing to lend a hand, he dedicated his life to service of others, and will be sorely missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.”
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 13 years, Pamela Patton, their daughter Zoe, age 9, and son Dylan, age 11 months. He is also survived by his son Cody Patton, mother Debra Patton-Shapiro, brother Brandon Patton, and niece Madison Patton.
Memorial Service will be held on April 23, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Church of Eleven22, 4911 Losco Rd., Jacksonville, Florida.
