Sarah Moreno Mercado

Sarah Mercado, 68, of Jacksonville Fl, entered Heaven’s gates on October 3, 2017 peacefully in her sleep after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Leyte, Philippines and was the daughter of Victoriano Moreno & Trinidad Cambini.

"Ni"/ Sarah was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She was very active in the church and loved to play Bingo. Her Kids and Grandchildren were her pride and joy. She also loved to watch food and cooking channels, not to mention her Filipino channels lol. Her favorite boxer was Manny Pacquiao and Loved the color the Red. Knitting was one of her favorite hobbies and she lived to please everybody. The word "No" was never in her vocabulary because she always found a way. She had a smile that could light up a room & her laugh was contagious. She was also employed at Marriott for over 25 years, where her co-workers were more like family and friends. That is where she later retired on good standing.

She is survived by her 6 children: Christine Nickerson Hart & her husband Christopher Hart, Mary Moreno, Shelia S. Spiker & Spouse Lisa C. Innocent, and her 3 sons Rodolfo Mercado Jr., Jerry & Gary Romero. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Stephon D Doyle, Wayne M Doyle, Precious Janai Doyle, Michael D Doyle, Essence C. Innocent, Unique C. Newell, Keyshawn Newell and Lisa Innocent. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends all over the world. Never the less, we can't forget Rudy Mercado. He was her husband, best friend, and her Soulmate. Together they were a team, now she's able to join him as he welcomes her home in the gates of heaven where they will live happily ever after.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 07, 2015 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in Chapel Hills Funeral Home & Cemetery, 850 St. Johns Bluff Road N. Jacksonville, FL 32225.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 07, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. in Chapel Hills Funeral Home & Cemetery, 850 St. Johns Bluff Road N. Jacksonville, FL 32225 with a reception to follow.
