Sara Mae Byrd Taylor

Sara Mae Byrd Taylor, age 81, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022. Sara was born April 20, 1940 in Calhoun, Georgia. Sara was a loving and faithful wife, devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a graduate of Terry Parker High School, class of 1959. She enjoyed flowers and planting at her home. She and her husband attended Lannie Road Baptist Church.

Sara is preceded in death by her parents, M.L and Willie Mae Byrd. She is survived by her loving and faithful husband of 62 years, Walter Marvin Taylor; daughter, Tammy Lee Andrews; son, Richard Lee Taylor (Rachel); four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Sara will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A committal service at the graveside will follow the funeral service at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens. Pastor Buddy Wimberly will serve as officiant of services.
