I truly saw Jesus in Sanford's eyes and his actions. All of us carry our own cross and go through life struggling to over come the burden. Sanford embraced his cross and lifted up each and everyone of us when we stumbled.

Dear Sanford,

I miss you so much already.  I can't believe you're gone.  I know you're in heaven with God and I know you are with me in spirit.  I keep hearing your voice in my head like you are really speaking to me.  I will never forget the first time I saw you.  I knew there was something special about you.  I'm so lucky to have met such a wonderful human being and been friends with you.  I keep thinking of all the memories we had together.  All the times I'd see you at mass smiling at me when you saw me.  All the good advice you would give me.  All the times we prayed together.  All the times you would get on my case about staying in the faith.  You knew the Truth Sanford and you weren't afraid to let anyone know it.  I think that's what I loved the most about you.  Because you loved Our Lord so much that you would do anything to save others souls.  I've told you before and I'll tell you again--you are a Saint.  Now you are truly a Saint in Heaven.  I know when you met Jesus face to face He must have said to you Well done my Faithful Servant, Well done.  I will miss you everyday I'm left on this Earth.  I know you're watching over me and praying for me.  I feel your presence over me.  As much as I miss you, I am so overjoyed that you are in Heaven and not in pain anymore.  I hated seeing you in pain.  Thank you for being my friend through all these years.  You were my only true friend.  I will never forget you.  I love you.  Love, Dawn

Like many of your Brothers in Christ, I will miss seeing you in mass.  St. Joseph's has lost one of its greatest and most humble prayer warriors.  Your love for our Blessed Mother and your sincere love of your faith, was a wonderful example of your journey with Christ.

I miss you greatly, and I'm sad to see you go. You kept me from harm and helped me in my trials through your prayers, and I can already feel your blessings coming down from Heaven right now.

     I can almost picture you now talking to our Lord Jesus and asking Him to please save the souls of all the faithful...especially that guy Jorge, he needs a LOT of help!

    I always said you have a BIG heart and I feel so blessed that God gave me the oportunity to grow closer to you in friendship in the last months.

I thank you Sanford for being who you were, faithfull, straight-forward and unrelenting.

     The picture of the 'Infant of Prague' and the prayer you gave me are ever at my night table, I pray to Him daily and I have more faith than ever that I will be rid of my Cancer by the grace of God.

     I pray for you and I know you are praying for me and all of us. CRHP24 will never be the same...now we have a guardian Angel.

Brother Sanford...we prayed and laughed together for many years.  You will be away from your brothers in Christ, but will be present with our Lord and Saviour Jesus.  How many times have we discussed the joy that you are now experiencing.  May your soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed rest in the peace of our most precious Jesus.  I personally will never forget you my friend.
